Blogger Essentials | How To

Blogging is a wonderful thing, but there is nothing more infuriating than thinking of a great idea and not having the basics around you to do it! So with that in mind here is my list of blogging basics and essentials.

Stationary

More specifically notebooks. I started blogging 5 months ago and in that time I have gone through more notebooks front to back than you could even imagine. They are the perfect thing to just have around everywhere as you never know when you will have an idea to write down.

Planners

Planners are another thing I could not live without. I am one of those bloggers that has posts planned weeks and months in advance so without a planner I would be lost. My personal favourite is from a site called The Bloggers Planner and they are fabulous.

Writing Space

Whether this is your bed, your kitchen, or you have your own blogging room/area, it is really important to have your own place of calm and focus to get all of your writing and editing done. Plus that way you are more likely to get it done to a good standard and make less mistakes.

Camera

My camera does not leave my side when I am blogging, and there is only so much an iphone can do in terms of quality. A good camera is one of the most important things to blogging, as well as lenses. Lenses have the ability to take a good shot to an amazing shot, but research into lenses is also just as important. The camera I use is a Canon E05 1100D.

Editor

A lot of people use photoshop, and it is a good program but I do not have time to learn how to use what seems like a super complicated editor. So if you are also a bit of a technophobe, then I would highly recommend picmonkey. For basic editing it is free to use, for a bit more advanced editing then it costs £3 a month which is nothing! It is super simple to use and I don't even want to think what my pictures would look like without it.

Do you have anymore idea's for posts? Let me know! And I will see you all very soon with a new post.
